Welcome to my website. I am please to have a space on the internet where I can share school and trustee news, and my thoughts and goals to everybody in the community. I have been a Trustee since 1994 with the York District Catholic School Board, and have faced its many challenges with experience, determination and hard work to form a strong board in a rapidly developing Ward 3. My experience in the past years will be a benefit to the 2006 – 2010 board. Consistency and fairness is a priority and I promise to bring these to the table as trustee. Implementing new programs have been a long time passion for me.  I have supported the Arts along with Languages. Our International Programs in the Ward 3 area have been of great benefit to our students. Learning three languages is beneficial and rewarding for all students.

In 2005, I was able to secure funding to improve Father Bressani Catholic High School to modern standards. The board has spent approximately 10 million dollars in building renovations: including a new air ventilation structure and air conditioning/heating system, creating a comfortable learning environment for staff and students. There are now new state-of-the-art science and music labs in addition to refurbished classrooms and a fresh coat of paint throughout the school. I supported and spearheaded, along with the Catholic Council, a new library at St. Gregory the Great Academy. This was passed in 2005 and the new facility was completed in 2006.

I supported the building of St. Jean de Brebuef to be built prior to the 2009 – 2010 school year. I advocated for an Arts Program at St. Elizabeth Catholic High School along with encouraging the construction of a state-of-the -art theatre for the students of  all York Catholic District Schools.

Over the past 5 years we have achieved excellent scores in the EQAO standardized testing, and in 2006, York Catholic District ranked as the  #1 School Board in the Province of Ontario. As a trustee, school stability has been my priority in our system as the Chair of the Negotiation Committee collaborating with Senior Management. We have signed a three year contract with all our employees contributing to the strength of our Catholic Board.
